Like so many other places in Israel, visiting Acre is like having the ancient past translucently laid over the present. For me it was like walking through a history text or a National Geographic article, wide eyed and mouth open. Fascinating and wonderful, the Visitor's Center will help put names, faces and dates to everything you'll see.
