Wet, chill and free of charge! Not too long and kids will enjoy it! If you are staying in one of DS hotels you can get there by walking.
Now it is a best time to visit.
Probably the second best tourist attraction near the Dead Sea, beside the Dead Sea! Such a beautiful walk and it's short-ish and very rewarding at the end when you get to swim near a water, and even can lay under it. We came in summer and it hadn't dried up so would suggest anytime. I would be careful though, because they say some times in the year flash flooding can occur.
Really nice trip. Very good for families with kids of 3y.o. and older.
This place is underrated. To get there from Ein Bokek, just follow the canal, then cross the highway. The main trail follows a creek (so prepare you might get your shoes wet, or straight out walk in the water, if you want to). The easy trail ends with a gorgeous waterfall, so if you don't want a quite challenging hike, head back. Till the waterfall it takes about an hour because you will want to make pictures each step of the way, and around 30 minutes back. ;) The trail continues uphills, steep. After you've reached the top, you can descend on the other side of the peak (trail marked with red downhills), or even follow it all the way to the top, which is about an hour, and not easy.
Easy trail, 10-15 minutes walk each direction. Beautiful israel.
Amazing piece of nature! Recommend everyone to take a hike, start with black sign and then come back to red sign.
