The New Energy Entrepreneurial Solutions Center, NEES, is an international innovation center based in Hadera. The center was established in partnership with the Economic Company of Hadera and OTWOI. The goal of the center is to foster Israeli Energy Technology to provide solutions for the people of Israel and to share these disruptive technologies globally as well. What separates NEES from other centers globally is that the city of Hadera is utilized as a beta/pilot site for companies. We have the ability to take projects from the initial thought of a solution, through funding, and all the way through commercialization with our three-tier model. We utilize the academia to groom and teach students how to create a business model that is viable via mentors and coaching. We then can either invest directly or connect investors for seed funding. Finally, we assist mature start-ups in entering markets both domestic and abroad. Our goal is to create a network that supports the growth of the energy technology community so that solutions can be provided faster so that we do not exceed the 2° Celsius rise that is predicted by 2030. We have biannual meet-ups, an annual event in Hadera focused on energy, and hosting of international delegations. Why do we do it? The future generations deserve to be able to travel the world freely without fear of natural disasters or just to have the ability to see the beautiful sights of locations that potentially could be uninhabitable. That is why we do it.
