This bookstore is amazing. It has an upstairs and a downstairs. It has reading clubs and it has very rare and old books. There are books here over 120 years old. If you have an ecclectic taste and you want something beyond the average Ludwig International Books is for you. There are books in dozens of languages and books on all subjects.

I’m happy to recommend this gem of a bookshop. Ludwig Mayer is so much more than a little bookshop. It's a pleasurable experience. I give it full scores for 3 reasons: 1. Service - Kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Need I say more? 2. Variety - Great selection of interesting books on various topics. I can summarize by saying that I have never asked for a book that they were unable to provide. 3. Location - Conveniently located in a central area and easily accessible. Next time you need a book, I suggest you check them out!

They have an extensive selection of hard to find academic Jewish in English as well as Hebrew

Very good selection of interesting books. Terribly over priced. Obnoxious sales person insisted all their books were new even when I pointed out a book with worn edges and a clipped corner. I found them closed during their posted hours on my first try.

The physical shop itself I've never been to, but I bought online (from England) a set of books (Homer translated into Ladino) which I found impossible to get anywhere else. They bore with me even though I took a while, due to being busy (ok, busy/lazy), to sort out payment, and once I had paid delivery was fairly prompt - 2 weeks - considering there's, you know, quite a bit of sea and land between England and Israel, and everything was as advertised and in perfect condition.

At first they said, international shippings were no problem. Then they were unable to deliver - not even after 10 weeks (yes, really). Only then they informed me that this occurs in around 5% of the cases (not exactly what it sounded like in the beginning when they said o problem\). And now they are seriously refusing to return the money. Even the shipment tracking number they gave me was invalid. Maybe they had never even shipped the item. Keeping the money without delivering the product. I have never before experienced such a dishonorable and in my opinion actually criminal business conduct. May amazon take over, soon.

A real Jerusalem establishment which I have gone to since i was a boy. Just a great bookstore with unique literature that can't be found anywhere else in the city. Also was very happy to see the good internet site/web directory which makes it easy and simple to find whatever you're looking for. only wish the smell of old books could be passed thorough the site as well :)
