Was hosting out-of-town guests who wanted to experience the Israeli wine scene. As a religious Jew, Red&White is one of the few kosher options available and had been on my list for a while, but I have been left disappointed and don't see myself returning. We arrived a few minutes before 8pm. The place advertised food options, but when we arrived 1 of 3 options on the food menu was unavailable (the 2nd ran out while we were there). A cheese plate was also advertised and was thrown together in the end, but the owner admitted that he didn't really have enough cheeses to offer a real plate. Now to the wines: no wine list, we just had to tell the barman (the owner) what we were looking for. We ordered one bottle and, liking it, ordered another, but he had run out and we had to settle for something we didn't like as much. Of course these things happen, but in addition to everything else that had gone wrong it was starting to be disappointing. No ice in the restaurant. I understand a normal restaurant not having ice maybe (here in Israel), but (a) this place advertised whiskey, and plenty of people drink on the rocks, (b) they said they had an ice machine and just hadn't turned it on. No soft drinks. Someone wanted a break from wine and asked for a coke, and they had to run down the block to a corner store to pick up a bottle. Everything 'worked out' in the end but I was embarrassed for my guests and disappointed that this is what Jerusalem has to offer for a kosher wine bar experience.

Excelent place!!! You MUST visit this place in Jerusalem, if you are a wine lover. The place looks very nice and cozy, it's very close to the Old City so this makes it really accessible. It has a great variety of Israeli big or boutique wineries' whites and reds which makes it a perfect place for getting to know local wines. The owner is really nice and friendly guy, taking the time to show us a lot of wines and giving us a lot of explanations. We had a great time and will come back with any ocation.

Great place and atmosphere, the perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine (and there are excellent wines as well!).

Probably the best wine bar in Israel and for sure in Jerusalem. The owner (mark) really knows what he is talking about (any wine question) and only sells wines / ports / whiskeys he likes (you can also buy here). Check out the facebook page for special jazz nights.
