בקומת הקרקע של המכון מספר תערוכות גאולוגיות. חלקן מיושנות (אבנים מוצגות על שולחנות עץ מחופים בזכוכית) וחלקן חדישות יותר ומונגשות לילדים. התערוכות סוקרות יסודות ותרכובות גאולוגיים חשובים, גאולוגיה של ישראל וכמה מאובנים מישראל. נחמד מאוד להעביר כאן חצי-שעה-שעה, אם אתם באזור ויש לכם ילד שמתעניין בנושא (או שאתם הייתם פעם ילדים שהתעניינו בנושא).
