I've been living in Israel almost 25 years, and the Israeli police as a whole are a bunch of worthless clowns. All they're good for is sitting on the side of the road and giving speeding tickets. They do NOTHING to keep the roads safe. In fact, most of the time THEY are breaking traffic laws. This past noveNove, I opened a complaint against a business that murdered my dog. I sat with a police officer, told my story, and filled out all the paperwork. They were supposed to pass my complaint to another police station to handle it. Now, more than eight months later, I find out they CLOSED my complaint without ever telling me. Worse than that, the Karmiel police station can't tell me *when* it was closed, *why* it was closed, and *who* closed it! NOTHING. Their reply? Write a letter to open a NEW complaint to have the old complaint reopened! Really? So they can just close THAT complaint without telling me, too? And why should *I* have to spend MY time fixing THEIR mistakes? I grew up in America, where the police actually HELP the citizens and keep proper records of complaints filed by the public. Police in America deserve my respect. Eight out of ten Israeli police officers don't.
