Asiv Textile Industries Ltd, owned and operated by Kibbutz Afek is located in the north of Israel not far from Haifa, and was founded in 1986. We are operating over 100 knitting machines, either circular or open width and producing about 300 tons of fabric monthly. About 1/3 of our production is exported to Europe and Egypt, and the balance is sold domestically to Israeli companies producing clothing for export to the U.S.A. Our machines are from Mayer & CIE and Vignoni. The open width machines make it possible to produce fabrics using 8-10% spandex without leaving a center crease line. One machine with a 48 inch diameter is used mainly for knit bed linen producing fabric in a 3meter width. We are also producing mattress covers from jacquard fabrics and can add company logos to the design. We are knitting a wide range of fabrics that include Single Jersey, Ribs, Jacquard, Pointelle, Fleece, Velour, Pique etc. The fabrics are knit in various compositions using cotton, viscose and polyester ring spun yarns as well as filament yarns in synthetics and blends such as polyester, rayon, micro nylon polyamide, and others.
