A flower in the desert\ this is how I would best describe Gidi as a person and tour guide. Bringing forward the true beauty of every spot in Israel's countryside while \stirring it up\ with a bit of cultural spice and plenty of Humour. Highly recommended for any type of trip at any season !

Gidi made our family trip to Israel even more meaningful and memorable than I ever thought possible. We were 13 people And 3 generations with a lot of personalities and picky New Yorkers too! We spent 8 very full days with Gidi and we miss every moment. Gidi was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, friendly and amazing with all 6 kids on the trip. We loved him in every way and truly enjoyed just spending time with him apart from our touring, which is important when you are with someone for 8 full days. Gidi really “got us.” He went off the beat and path when able and showed us a really authentic Israel, which is exactly what we wanted. He was accommodating in every way and simply made our trip!!! We love Gidi and will definitely use him again when we plan our next trip to Israel.

had a great time with Gidi showing us around all over Israel. We had an incredible time in the galilee as well as Golan Heights. Went to Old Man Falafel in Haifa, best in Israel!

Gidi was a great tour guide. I didn't have an agenda so we made it up as we went, which is exactly what I wanted. I originally booked 1 day which was packed with a very full day of touring the Northern part of Israel. He had his own car that he used to picked me up and dropped me off at the hotel. This was my first time to Israel so having him meet me gave me a lot of confidence and reinsurance. We saw so many things that I can't list them all. He was very good at reading people and quickly figured out what interested me and spent the right amount of time at each location. He spoke English very well and (of course) spoke the native language which helps when traveling. He taught me some of the culture and history and was candid when we talked about all of it. He showed me places that you don't read about in the books. I felt very safe with him by my side. It was such a great experience that I booked a second day and recommended him to friends that frequently travel to the area. When I go back I will definitely contact him again for another \tour\. Thank you Gidi!

Gidi led us on an amazing and unforgettable North-to-South tour of Israel. Our extended family of 7 people ranges from 10 years old to retirement-age, most of them new to Israel. I am an Israeli ex-pat, and having lived in the US for more than 20 years felt unqualified for the task. However, I am Israeli enough to recognise that something magical happened, and that Gidi guided my family to experience Israel deeply and uniquely. Part of it was due to planning (we worked with Gidi on the itinerary before the trip), part of it pure luck or perhaps the magic that Gidi works behind the scenes. We went through the \must see\ sites, and also did some fun and unexpected things, like a jeep tour in the Golan Heights, enjoying hospitality in a Druze village, a kayak trip for the kids on the Jordan River, and a pottery workshop in a kibbutz. I can fathom that perhaps knowing my mother-in-law plays the violin, Gidi managed to arrange an impromptu violin concerto by one of the music school students right there in the pottery shed, but how did he work his magic so that when we visited the Church of the Annunciation they started a service, and we experienced the church with beautiful deep voices that reverberated in the space and resonated in our bones? We have enjoyed and appreciated Gidi's storytelling, historical knowledge, and geology degree background, but it is harder to capture in words the intangibles of a person that would - literally - go the extra mile out of the way on an unplanned stop to see my long-lost cousin, or would give the sandals off his feet to help a random tourist whose feet were burning on the hot Dead Sea beach, or jump to take care of our son who experienced a sudden nosebleed in the dry desert air. A unique person to guide us through a complex and unusual country!

We were perhaps understandably a little concerned about going to Israel, but, any fears or concerns we had, were immediately put aside by the reassurance of the Tour Manager and our Tour Guide, Gidi Friedman. We spent the holiday with Gidi and he was so well-informed about the places we visited. The itinerary had clearly been carefully planned. Nothing was too much trouble and Gidi and the coach driver knew exactly where and when we should be to gain the most from each place we visited. The hotels were second to none and the staff at each so very accommodating. The rooms and food were lovely. It certainly was an amazing pilgrimage for us and we cannot thank everyone enough - the Tour Manager and Tour Guide, the driver and the staff at the hotels - for creating such an amazing experience. It was very special to receive a Pilgrim of Jerusalem Certificate at the end of our once in a lifetime trip. (Date of trip, November 2017) — Nigel & Caroline Cox

The perfect guide and travel companion. From the start Gidi got in sync with us and charted our course through Israel. As we got to know each other better he modified our tour to the point of perfection. His wealth of historical knowledge and present day pulse on Israel and the Israel people inspired us as we meandered through this most intriguing country. Three cheers for Israel, the Israeli people, and Gidi. Thank you my friend. Mark

A most wonderful tour! My tour experience with Gidi during my October 2018 visit to Israel was nothing short of wonderful. Gidi, simply put, is a great person and a exceptional guide. Cool, calm, collected & charismatic, his knowledge and ability to share and explain things is outstanding. He also has a fun and relaxed personality, so it's very easy to relate to and get along with him. Together, we spent a day (7am to 5pm) on a private tour, visiting the Sea of Galilee, the Mount of Beatitudes, the River Jordan, Capernaum just to name a few places. Without doubt, Gidi is one of the best tour guides I have ever had the good fortune of visiting a new destination with. I have already recommended Gidi to all my friends planning trips to Israel and I look forward to my next trip and opportunity to explore more of Israel with Gidi - \The World's Coolest Tour Guide!\ First class, seven star, outstanding performance by Gidi. Very highly recommended! If you are visiting Israel and need a tour guide - Gidi is your man.
