Nazareth Village is a re-creation of what the city would have looked like back in Jesus' day. Nazareth had about 500 people in the time of Jesus. John 1:46. \Nazareth? Can anything good come from there?\ Yes! Nazareth is where Jesus grew up. The hometown of Mary and Joseph. The place where the angel, Gabriel, visited Mary to tell her that she will give birth to Jesus. Of course, Jesus wasn't born in Nazareth, but in Bethlehem because they were traveling for the Roman census.

A small village that replicates and continues the significance of Nazareth 2000 years ago. There are sheep, shepherd, buildings, and vine trees and the like that are worth exploring. What was particularly amazing was how truthfully they replicated the whole village, paying attention to all the minute details. Recommended for anyone who is interested in the history of Israel, Jesus, and the Bible.
Absolutely beautiful. The guides are very knowledgeable and tell you very many things about the biblical topics. Jesus lived very close to this area. They have examples of knitting and oil press. They are building a new areal. It is going to be beautiful. It sits near a hospital that is all part of the program. The gift shop is nice and affordable. If you do the tour you will get an oil lamp or pot for free.
Amazing. One of the best experiences of my life.
Very awesome to visit this recreation of Nazareth! One of my favorite stops in Israel! A lot of information and a lot to learn of the way Jesus lived and the everyday life of Nazareth!
Nazareth Village is a well constructed replica of village life in the time of Jesus at the Sea of Galilee. A guide takes groups of people through the village to experience life as it was. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all kinds of questions. We saw a replica of Jesus’s tomb with a circular rock at the entrance, how a wine press worked, how they used to press olives, how they worked with wood and lots more. This guided tour through history is well worth your time.
Really interesting to see the way Nazareth village was at the time of Jesus. The village is based on a farm that was in use in the first century and likely was visited by Jesus himself (being around 500m from where he allegedly lived). Be aware you should book ahead of time and the tours are guided and infrequent, do not simply turn up or you could be waiting a long time for the next available tour. The \village\ is a set of actors, that are typically volunteers. We found the tour guide was preaching about Christ a bit more than we'd like, but this the village is run by a Christian organisation so we probably shouldn't have been surprised by this.
A must see in Nazareth - to see how things were during the time of Jesus helps bring everything to life. They have ... and are still reconstructing as well as reenacting different roles. Our guide was terrific.
