Assaf is a phenomenal tour guide. His knowledge of history, politics, geography, and religion are combined with excellent teaching and story-telling skills. He makes you excited about whatever location you are visiting. Moreover, Assaf is more eager to engage you than persuade you. He does not mind sharing his thoughts on certain matters, but only does so hoping to inform and to provoke excellent thought and conversation. Highest recommendations!

On a recent trip to Tel Aviv, we booked 2 private excursions through Boker Tours: an afternoon tour of Tel Aviv with Assaf himself, and a day tour of Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and the Dead Sea with one of his associates. Both tours were fantastic. We learned so much about local history, culture, religion, politics, and food. Assaf was so helpful and was able to customize the tours to fit our busy schedule. He was also able to accommodate our dietary requests on the food portion of the tour (we are both vegan), and we got to try so many local dishes that we'd never even heard of before. After the tour was over, Assaf provided us with a list suggestions for the rest of our trip that covered various restaurants, points of interest, and hidden secrets of Tel Aviv. We can't wait to come back and book more tours with Assaf.
Assaf was an amazing guide who really brought the Masada experience to life for us. Inspiring and beautiful, he is a true storyteller with the ability to evoke emotion while providing a comfortable education in the history of this ancient tune. He was also patient and kind, and answered all our questions with a smile. I highly recommend this experience, and if you are looking for a guide through any part of Israel, Assaf is your best choice. Worth every shekel!!
5/5 - FANTASTIC experience! Touring Israel with Assaf was the most eye-opening and genuine experience. Traveling with a group of approximately 39 people, I felt organized, informed, and supported at all times. Assaf went above and beyond to make certain that we were prepared for each site by explaining the cultural norms, attire, and any supplies we would need (ex. water bottle, sweater, sunglasses). Prior to arriving at a site, he took time to explain multiple perspectives of what made the site significant, not only historically but present day. Assaf is highly intelligent, thoughtful, and engaged; frequently checking in to see if we had any questions and contributing to the discussion. He is an excellent story teller. Really, there was never a dull moment. I can confidently say that I walked away from the trip a more informed, compassionate, and enriched person. I speak for our group when I say, thank you so very much Assaf! For keeping us safe, stretching our minds, and sharing the deep origins of Israel. Much respect for your professionalism, timeliness, and organization! For anyone needing a tour guide, Boker Tours is the way to travel!! I give them my highest recommendation without any hesitation.
Assaf, from beginning to end was amazing and professional. He was quick to respond and very helpful with my planning process. He paired me with one of his guides, Gal, for a one day tour in Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Gal was very knowledgeable, answering ALL of my questions, great energy, and made the day! BEST GUIDE EVER. My mom and I had a private, 6 day tour with Assaf. Let me first say that we were a difficult pair to guide. My mom wanted to go deep into history and all of the religious aspects of the region, and I wanted to focus on local culture and food. I did a ton of research and spoke with various guides before deciding to hire Assaf. I was hesitant at first to hire a guide because I don't like tours at all and find them to be generic, boring, touristy experiences. When it comes to travel, the joy of it is exploring, researching and spontaneously discovering new people and places. Assaf COMPLETELY changed my perspective and I wish there were guides like him in every country that I could hire. My mom and I had a vacation of a lifetime and learned so much from the wealth of knowledge and network that Assaf has. Throughout the tour, we ran into other guides, who repeatedly told us that, wow, you two are lucky, you have the best guide in the country. It's true.
Assaf is a spectacular guide! He is knowledgeable, patient, and easy going. He encouraged me to go places I may not have gone on my own. I took two private tours with Assaf and they were well worth it! We avoided the large crowds and the trip was personalized JUST for me. You would be remiss not to experience Israel with Assaf!
Best trip ever, with best guide ever: Our visit to Israel was life changing. To walk on the same ground that we have read about our entire lives was both spiritually and intellectually exciting. Our guide was Assaf Boker and, having travelled extensively, I can state that he is the best we have ever had. Knowledgeable, informed, patient, thoughtful, considerate, I could go on and on. Assaf has a deep pride in his homeland, and his love for his country ... all of it ... shows. We discussed Jewish history, Christian history, and the current modern geopolitical situation. We left with a much better understanding of a historical and complex culture, and our guide was essential to our experience. We highly recommend Boker Tours. From the VIP treatment when we landed at Ben-Gurion, to the hotels, choice of restaurants, historical commentary, political discussions, airport transfers, and itinerary we were made to feel like family. Just making the arrangements was simple and professional. For us this was a trip of a lifetime, and we can say that if you want to entrust your special experience to anyone, you can rest assured that Assaf Boker is your guy.
