Fantastic food here at Old Jaffa. We were pleasantly surprised by the service, portions and taste of the food. The pita bread with garlic butter that came as the free starter (with the mains) was really good. The buttered prawns were absolutely delicious.

Good food. Good Service
Superb othentic Greek restaurant with a bit of East- Mediterranean touch. Amazing atmosphere, very good quality of products and dishes, unique Greek cousin and the owner is the nicest ever! We came, a couple, at Saturday noon (May, no reservations, and there were a place available), the place was almost full, glad buzzy atmosphere, fast and good service. Usually you get 12 small salads with the main course, but it not a muat, and it is amazing! Including hyssop pita bread, going great with the salads. It's really good, not 5 star for me. We enjoyed it a lot :)
What a pleasant surprise this little restaurant was. I try and avoid main street restaurants because they tend to be tourist taps. I stumbled upon this little greek Mediterranean restaurant by accident, as it was out of the way, in what seemed like a small alley. Within 30 seconds of being seated the waiter brought me the wonderful salad, sauces, and bread shown in my pictures. All were fantastic. I ordered the sauteed shrimp with purple onion and spices. It was one of the best shrimp dishes I've ever eaten. The sautee sauce was so good I used the rest of the bread to soak it up. The dish was served in the pan it was prepared in so it was piping hot. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I gotta hand it to this place. It’s got a great location. “Hidden” in the back alley behind a major street in Jaffa. Although it looks small they have plenty of seating both in the small restaurant but also across the alley. They are right next to the original gate to Jaffa (in the alley). Now the food. First off it’s not cheap here but it is the best fish restaurant in Jaffa. You get what you pay for. Two people can expect to spend 200-300NIS depending on if you have wine or now. The meal includes mezza which has a Greek influence to it and makes it different than the other mezza you get. We ordered the garlic shrimp and fried calamari. Both you could tell were fresh and cooked perfectly. With the mezza you won’t leave hungry. They do something interesting to the pita. Splitting it I half length wise and toasting it and sprinkle it with olive oil and dried oregano. Again. Something different the the rest of Jaffa. I’d recommend this place. But it’s not inexpensive.
Nice place to seat in jaffa. Recommended at Friday afternoon. Nice Greek music. The waiters are very friendly.
