The current political climate and the shouting screams of the recent events, the blatant disregard –and consequent denial of this regard, for women’s equality, pushed me to the finish line. This is a story of women in a world not so very different from the one we live in now. How the women of the Wideness respond to misogyny, and plain old fashioned male chauvinism. In Her Destiny Is Change – the women join together and leave –Split completely from the patriarchy. Their destiny is change. We can only create a new world if we can get past the debilitating concept of "what has been will always be". Have you ever wondered what the world would be like if women were in charge? It is a world full of love, courage, strength, and respect. Strong women emerge from the ingrained, second-class status they once believed was their destiny developing a society that we all aspire to live in. “Her Destiny is Change’’ can be categorized as a feminist dystopian to utopian fiction. The word feminist shouldn’t be needed. We should be able to call it humanist. But that is not the world we live in. And yes, it is also a feminist lesbian fantasy.
