The Revolution Orchestra is a creative ensemble and a hot-house for original Israeli music, integrated with other performing arts. The Ensemble combines orchestral-acoustic instruments and electronic instruments, with the goal of providing a stage for original musical ideas. Through its projects The Revolution Orchestra seeks to share with the audience the values of inspiration, creativity and listening. Every year The Revolution Orchestra creates new original musical projects, with a mature artistic concept, based on original Israeli pieces for a mixed-instrument ensemble, combining composers, musicians, ideas and skills from various fields of art. In the past seven years, The Revolution Orchestra has performed a variety of projects at various venues and events such as: "The Israel Festival" (2006, 2010, 2011), "Sounds in the Desert" Festival (2005, 2006, 2010, 2011), "Sounds of Childhood" festival (2012), Tel-Aviv's Art year opening event (2012), "Jerusalem Art festival" (2007), "International Spring Festival" at Rishon LeZion (2008, 2009), "Rishon LeZion Hebrew Language Conference" (2010) and many more. In addition, the Orchestra's performance opened the 2011 "The Marker Magazine Innovation event", held in November 2011. Between 2008 and 2010, The Revolution Orchestra performed under the auspices of Rishon LeZion Municipality. The Orchestra was founded in 2004 by Zohar Sharon and Roy Oppenheim, and is a registered non-profit NGO since 2008.
