Specifically, SGTech has aimed to address environmental issues resulting from improper waste management in the livestock industry. High nutrient concentrations found in cow and pig manure pose a major threat to water and soil qualities, and methane emissions from livestock manure is a leading culprit in global climate change. Through years of Research and Development, SGTech has developed innovations in nutrient recovery, integrated biogas solutions, and water recycling - all aimed at creating a complete solution for the treatment and reuse of livestock waste. SGTech’s patented Integrated Ecosystem Solution (IES) is an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) technology specifically designed for the treatment of livestock waste – the IES process produces enriched biogas and simultaneously removes and recovers nutrients from the waste stream. The result is an end-to-end biological solution that improves each area of sustainable agriculture – cleaner energy, cleaner water, and cleaner soil.
