Jerusalem's most famous cinema! With a long heritage behind the place, and after almost getting closed last year, The Lev Smadar is just amazing. They made a very big and nice renovation, that really made the place welcoming and pleasant. The building itself is just magnificent, in the old neighborhood of "Baaka". You walk in to a great restaurant that is open on Saturday as well. The Chef is really good, and the staff is very nice and friendly! Its a Nice and cozy place. Very good food, you have the try the pizza and pasta! And an amazing verity of wine. Try their Desert, either the tiramisu or the popcorn ice cream desert. If you come only for a movie come half an hour earlier and sit on the bar enjoy the place and the atmosphere, you can take in what ever you got in to the Movie! And of course they have popcorn. The place has only one cinema hall that shows movies in various languages. You can see there all the best alternative movies. Very nice place for a date, for a day alone in Jerusalem, or a night out with friends. This place is Magic, just go and see. Enjoy!

A perfect atmosphere
Lev Smadar is a rare place. One of the only old cinema places that is still functioning as one. Speacial atmosphere to watch a movie and a very good restaurant.
Excellent deserts at the cafe restaurant in site. Mostly main stream movies for a theater that used to screen art and essay movies a few years ago. A bonus:open on Saturday. Good atmosphere.

Great little movie theatre with one auditorium. Comfortable seats and good sound, and they always bring interesting films. There's an extensive bar with good coffee. And the restaurant has excellent food and it's open on Friday nights.
I stayed next door at The Colony hotel and I went in to order a full fish. They dont have it on the menu but the made the BEST Trout fish in Jerusalem. Excellent. It is best to reserve a table.
