Very interesting, well presented exhibitions of ancient eras, in regards to Near East region, and in the right size - not too wide...

I think this museum is a hidden gem in Jerusalem if you really love to study the Bible. They have artifacts from Genesis into the 2nd Testament that really illustrate and illuminate the factual history behind the things we read. If you are going to Israel on pilgrimage, you may want to see this place. A guided tour is probably worth the cost.

This is the museum that you can have understanding to the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. It represents a period as early as Jesus’ time that you can find the scripture. Visit the museum and have a look of the Book of Isaiah.

The Bible Lands Museum is a surprisingly precious jewel that can be admired while visiting Jerusalem. Walking through the exhibitions, one can easily go back in time and see a vivid picture of an ancient world stretching from the Arabic Peninsula and Mesopotamia, to the Mediterranean coast and Egypt. Assyria, Persia, Babylon, the Greeks, then the Romans, were some of the components of that ancient Pagan world, in which today's main monotheistic religions were born and then developed. Looking at that while in Jerusalem, the city which always stood at the very center of every turn of history in this part of the world, might prove to be a very satisfying experience.
