Shirrah’s apartment at 171 Ha’Yarkon was the perfect place for my wife and me. We stayed there for 8 nights in June. Don’t be put off by the building. It truly is a case of ‘not judging a book by its cover’. Many apartment buildings in Tel Aviv are in need of renovation-at least from the outside. When we opened the door to the apartment we were immediately struck and pleasantly surprised by the tasteful, modern feel, and, look of the apartment. Also, the apartment was spotless. Clearly much thought went into the accessories, pictures, and, layout of the apartment. There are two bedrooms-not large but perfectly fine. The bathroom is great and the shower-handheld or waterfall-is perfect. There is a living room with a flat screen television. The kitchenette is adjacent to the living room. It has a fridge, stove, sink etc. The entry instructions to the apartment were easy to follow. The best part was, of course, the proximity to Gordon Beach – a 5 minute walk away. There is also a general store right next to the building. Also, it is at the bottom of Ben Gurion Boulevard and the rest of downtown Tel Aviv is a short walk away. Ben Yehuda and Dizengoff streets are approximately a 5-10 minute walk away. Bottom line- we hope to return to this apartment on our next visit to Tel Aviv and would highly recommend it.
